The 1995 Goodwood Festival Of Speed

Nicholas McGadden

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world’s greatest car events, and it has grown from a garden party with racecars to easily the UK’s largest car event. This video from the 1995 event features so many legendary cars and drivers, from Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson celebrating the 50th anniversary of their 1955 Mille Miglia win, to Derek Bell driving the monstrous Porsche 917/30, and even Dan Gurney in his 1967 Eagle F1 car. John Surtees and Phil Hill also appear. Seeing the race-weathered McLaren F1 GTR that had just won Le Mans is also special, when it was worth only a million dollars. Sit back and get a glimpse of a very different Festival of Speed.
